Imagine cooking all your meals over an open fire. This is a reality for half of the world's cooks.

About 1.6 billion people, mostly women and children, die every year from breathing the smoke and gases from these cooking fires. The black particles in the smoke have created a permanent cloud over Asia that is quickly warming the earth.

Please help us increase our research and development of new cooking stoves to relieve these problems. We have worked on more than 150 stove projects in 60 countries. Since 1976 we have helped to design and manufacture over 2 million improved cooking stoves in countries on every continent.

We are currently working on these new stoves:

Forced Air Rocket Stove

Burning 50% to 70% cleaner than the open fire is not enough when wood fuels are sustainably harvested! The development of a forced air fan stove will allow for constant mixing of the smoke and gasses inside the rocket stove's internal combustion chamber, which dramatically reduces the smoke and gas emissions. A super clean burning wood burning stove is needed to combat health problems caused from indoor air pollution as well as to address global warming in countries like India where wood use is sustainable.

Stove Kit

In-country assembly is something that we want to offer our partners worldwide. By importing a stove kit that includes our improved combustion chamber and cast iron top, and finishing the stove in country with locally sourced materials, projects can provide employment in country and produce a lower cost high quality stove.
